There are a lot of sources for saffron out there and dubious quality saffron is rampant! This is the real deal. The Mehr saffron came promptly, well packaged for the precious spice that it is, and in a gorgeous little glass jar. The fantastic aroma when the jar was opened was heavenly! I ordered my saffron to cook with but I was surprised to learn about the health effects of saffron and I plan to explore that aspect in more depth. The Mehr saffron people included an interesting pamphlet about those benefits that piqued my interest. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

I received my saffron today and was so pleased with my purchase. Ordering was effortless, delivery was quick, packaging was lovely and upscale, and the saffron is high quality and so fragrant. The price was much better than the local grocery, and the quality is far and above any I’ve seen. I cannot wait to make saffron rice tomorrow. I will definitely order again from this merchant.
